Rohit Pothukuchi, CEO of Pamir Ventures portfolio company GreenCat, spoke at SAF Global Summit 2026, bringing attention to an often-overlooked opportunity in the production of sustainable aviation fuels: catalytic innovation.
The current economics of sustainable aviation fuels are tricky to say the least. However, GreenCat has the proven ability to formulate the next generation of novel SAF catalysts that can bring its production into the mainstream.
Rohit stated it directly: “If we can increase conversion efficiency by 10% to 20% through novel design, that’s massive for bringing down costs and boosting profitability without requiring a complete redesign of existing plant equipment.”
