To secure the stack is no longer merely an act of optimisation; it is a prerequisite for sovereignty in the century of biology.
The piece argues that biotechnology has crossed from a set of isolated scientific advances into an integrated, sovereign industrial stack — spanning data, compute, biomanufacturing capacity, and regulatory infrastructure — and that the countries treating it as such will set the terms of bio-industrial power for the next half-century.
