The Geopolitical Tipping Point

In collaboration with Norton Rose Fulbright, Pamir partner Dr. Milad Alucozai published a new thesis in the ICLG Digital Health Laws and Regulations 2026 report: "The Geopolitical Tipping Point: Forecasting Global Bio-Industrial Technology Stack (BITS) Dominance Through 2050."
The coming decade will reveal a stark divide between nations that viewed biotechnology as a collection of scientific breakthroughs and those that recognised it as a unified, sovereign industrial system. To secure the stack is no longer merely an act of optimisation; it is a prerequisite for sovereignty in the century of biology.
The piece argues that biotechnology has crossed from a set of isolated scientific advances into an integrated, sovereign industrial stack — spanning data, compute, biomanufacturing capacity, and regulatory infrastructure — and that the countries treating it as such will set the terms of bio-industrial power for the next half-century.
